Meet Murphy, the most handsome boy you'll ever lay your eyes on! This adorable 4.5-month-old Labrador Retriever mix has just arrived at Just Paws and is nicely settling into his foster home. Murphy is full of excitement and puppy energy, and he can't wait to find a wonderful and loving forever family that will cherish him forever! He is doing so well at this foster family he is ready to find his new family.
With his friendly and loving nature, Murphy is an absolute sweetheart. He is always ready to shower you with endless affection and become your loyal companion. His foster home is filled with two doggy friends to play with, and he absolutely adores their company. Murphy is looking forward to finding a family that will welcome him into their hearts and home.
This little bundle of joy weighs around 28lbs, and his Labrador Retriever genes are evident in his delightful personality. To keep up with his puppy energy, Murphy will thrive in an active family who can provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime. He's ready for all kinds of adventures and outdoor activities! He already has decided that he loves playing fetch with his ball and he brings it back (so smart!) – endless fun for him! He also loves his bully sticks and chases them too. As with all puppies, especially labs, they are chewers until the their adult teeth are in – so be prepared for chewing.
Positive reinforcement training is key to Murphy's development into the best dog he can be. He's eager to learn and please, so a family that is committed to investing time and effort into his training will be a perfect match. Murphy is smart and ready to soak up all the knowledge you can offer him. He is very treat motivated so that helps with training.
Having a fenced-in yard will be an essential requirement for Murphy's new home. It will give him the freedom to explore and play safely, ensuring he gets the exercise he needs to stay happy and healthy. NO condos for Murphy!
His foster mom says he is good with adults, kids and dogs. As with all puppies, he will need to learn to give other dogs personal space but that is all part of positive reinforcement training. He is not fully house trained, but he is getting better all the time as he learns. He will need leash training but what puppy doesn’t? He does fine in a car and a crate (but not long periods of time in the crate as he loves his human companionship). Murphy is so excited he likes to jump and sometimes does a somersault as he meets someone! Overall he is just adorable, loving and friendly, plus so handsome!
