My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue

INDEPENDENT AND CHARMING

Meow! My name is Buddy The Elf. My estimated date of birth is 12/11/2019. I was brought into rescue one weekend for TNR surgery. The girls here looked in my trap and saw I had a flea collar on. Clearly, someone had cared for me enough to put it on me. I was rolling around in the trap being very friendly, so was held back from TNR surgery that weekend to try to find my family. Unfortunately no one came looking for me. I couldn't believe it. I then went to get neutered and began the search for my forever home. I am a sweet and lovable boy.

I do have some stipulations for when I get adopted. My new family will need to be understanding of the fact that I get overstimulated easily. This can be from a lot of sound, smells, people, or commotion all at once. When I am getting overstimulated you will see me begin to get agitated. I may begin to flick my tail, and not want to be touched. I ask that my new family respect my space and boundaries when I'm like this. I don't mean to smack you, I am just overwhelmed. I also am curious about doors and what lies beyond them. I would do best living on a non busy road in case I were to slip out.and being watched extra carefully when opening and shutting doors, or to be an indoor outdoor cat in a more rural area.

I am a character, and the volunteers love watching me get the zoomies around kitty corner, or hearing my unique meow. I am a bit picky with wet food. The volunteers here have probably tried at least a dozen types, both pate and chunks, with different protein options, and I turn my nose up, but act like I want something else. Unfortunately no one is sure what. If only I could just talk. That being said I will eat my dry food when I get hungry. I know my forever family is out there, I just hope they come to meet me very soon.

Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.

We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info. Be sure to check us out on Facebook at  bit.ly/KittyCornerFB and "LIKE" our page and share our posts!

SAVING ONE CAT MAY NOT CHANGE THE WORLD...BUT FOR THAT ONE CAT, THE WORLD CHANGES FOREVER!
