My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello gorgeous! We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you're going to adore this big, beautiful, boisterous, full-of-love tuxedo queen as much as we do, our perfect nine year old Missy!

We could spend all day long writing about each of the things that make this great girl the most amazing cat around - Really, we could! If you're looking for affectionate, social, playful and silly, look no further than Missy.

Between her sugary-sweet personality and constant desire for love and cuddles, you will never be lonely once you invite Missy to be your new best friend. Missy will often toddle along right behind you to make sure that she doesn't miss out on a moment of affection, and she has an adorably tiny meow that is at odds with her round physique that she will use if she thinks you're not paying enough attention to her! It's more of a 'chirp' than a 'meow', but it's 100% uniquely Missy.

Don't let her generous size fool you, Missy is a lap cat from tail to tip! She just needs a little help getting up and down when it's time for a snuggle, that's all. Missy will happily spend hours lounging on your lap and soaking up as much love as possible, and she purrs so loud that she practically vibrates the entire time.

There isn't an inch on Missy that she doesn't love to have massaged or pet, and she's ESPECIALLY fond of having her big belly rubbed! She will roll right over so that you can get both hands on her tummy, you don't even need to ask, Missy will just flop onto the floor at the drop of a hat for cuddles.

Missy makes friends easily, and she has no problem with strangers and new people. Missy also loves children, and is incredibly gentle with everyone. Missy would like to be the only cat in her future forever home though, she doesn't want to share the spotlight with another kitty!

Something to know about Missy is that she is a special needs kitty, she's diabetic! We are very happy to report that Missy's glucose is stable and that she does not require insulin, she simply relies on her diabetic-friendly diet to stay in tip top kitty shape and to keep her blood sugar in check! If you want to invite Missy into your family, our volunteers will be more than happy to answer any questions about Missy and her diabetic care that you may have.
