Pablo is a boxer mix with BIG “let’s get this party started” energy. He’s the kind of guy who wants to be wherever the action is—front row, center stage, spotlight optional but preferred. If something fun is happening, Pablo has already RSVP’d “YES” and probably brought a tennis ball just in case. Speaking of tennis balls… they are his absolute passion. Chasing them, carrying them, tossing them around—Pablo treats fetch like an Olympic sport and he’s going for gold. He’s also a major treat fan and shows off a very impressive sit, especially when snacks are involved. Social butterfly that he is, he’s interested in other dogs and would just need a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone vibes.

All shelter locations are conducting animal viewing and adoptions on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing.
The adoption fee is waived for all available pets in care and in foster homes. Standard adoption practices will still be in place, including background checks.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department (AWD) expanded the shelter days of service to seven days a week with operational hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and pet viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m for both the east and west side shelter locations.
