My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lockett is about a year old, very shy and gentle kitty. She was trapped at a young age with a new litter of kittens. As soon as they were weaned she was spayed and was discovered already pregnant again. Probably less then 7 months old. Her kittens were all adopted and she's spent most of the past few months in foster care with several other cats she didn't want to hang out with. She has never shown any signs of aggressive behavior, no hissing, scratching etc. She just backs up and cowers.

For the past few weeks she's been the only cat in the home, and has become a lot more trusting and social each day. Her safe spot is under a bed but she's gradually spending less time hiding and more time observing her surroundings. She loves looking outside and watching birds, squirrels and any other passersby. She's now allowing a little petting, purrs to let you know she likes it, but still unsure how much to trust humans. She does not like to be picked up or held.

With time and patience, she should become more affectionate. Do you have the heart to give this sweet girl a chance?

Lockett’s approximate date of birth is 6/8/22.
