Hi there, I’m Darwin, a fun and happy Yorkie terrier mix about 1 year old, 16 lbs, and I have a friendly nature and a zest for life. I’ve always been like this, even when I was at the dog pound, I was the handsome boy wagging and saying hello to everyone that walked by my kennel. I was lost in San Antonio Texas and the lady that found me tried to find my owner. When that didn't happen she took me to the city pound and that’s where I met a 4 Little Paws foster that brought me home.
I am friendly to everyone, young and old and I have gobs of playful energy. I get along great with other dogs especially if they love to play as much as I do. If I don’t have a human or doggy playmate handy, I’ll entertain myself with a chew toy or a squeaky toy, or any toy available. The more the merrier! I am affectionate and eagerly pass out kisses and licks and sometimes try to trick you into playing when I bring you a toy and literally ask you to play with me. I am just a happy-happy boy with lots of joyful exuberance and nothing gets me down or bums me out! I am doing excellent with housebreaking lessons, I can walk with a leash, I do not dig or jump fences and I am not even afraid of thunderstorms! I love going for car rides and I will stay nicely in a kennel if I have a selection of chew toys to keep me busy. I’m basically a sweet scruffy puppy, still a bit mischievous but with a heart of gold and I'm very easy to love.
I left Texas behind a couple of weeks ago and moved to Connecticut, so I am ready willing, and able to meet a groovy fun-loving forever family! I am excited to meet you, whoever you are, cuz I know it will be love at first sight!
