My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Drizella (Ella) and her buddy Anastasia (Asia) were rescued from an abandoned trailer after their human died. They were really stressed out, confused and living in filth. Thankfully someone reached out to our friends at Hope For Paws so they could be rescued, vetted and have a second chance at a better life.

She’s good on leash. Good with other dogs and lived with a cat that was also rescued and already adopted.

Good in the car and very loving. Even though they were rescued together, we are not convinced they need to stay together. They argue like typical sisters but they do love each other. Drizella is the queen of side-eye. She’s hilarious.

The application is the first step to see if you are potentially the right match for the animal of interest.This is not a guarantee/commitment of adoption. Our adoption process involves a home check, adoption contract & adoption fee of $400-600 for dogs depending on breed/age and $125 for cats. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, de-wormer & microchip.

LA Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue.

Established in late 2010, LAAR has helped save thousands of lives.

We currently care for over 200 domestic and farm animals between our rescue ranch and foster network. Each year hundreds of homeless and abandoned animals receive health care and are re-homed through LAAR. We are a small grassroots no-kill animal rescue that runs solely on donations and volunteers. We are committed to the animals in our care and they are safe with us until the perfect home comes along.
