Hi! They call me “Handsome Man Dave”. I am a bit on the smaller size at 48 pounds but I am a solid ball of muscle so don’t discount me because I’m small.
I just love to run and be goofy like a typical boxer does. I REALLY like doggy friends so I need friends that are confident and like to wrestle. I am also happy to have 1:1 time with my humans. I love spending time with my humans, playing ball, tug, hide and seek games. I love running so if that is something you like, count me in!
My foster mom says I’m a good boy in the house. My foster mom promotes calmness in the house so I can be a good decision-maker. I am house-broken and crate trained. Once I get my wiggles out, I am happy to chill out on a bed and chew a bone.
I am working on polite leash manners and I feel so much better when I’m on my park walks. I get so excited to see humans and dogs that I sometimes forget and bark to say hi. I haven’t met a human that I didn’t like. I know they all love me as much as I love them. So I will be sure to share all of my boxer wonderfulness with humans when I first meet them.

NorCal Boxer Rescue provides a temporary sanctuary for Boxers in need throughout California. Boxers come to us from shelters and from owners who are no longer able to care for them. We provide these animals with veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, a microchip, a temporary foster home at a private residence, lots of love, and placement into a carefully screened home forever.
