Shade is a 5-year-old pitty mix with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet guy is all about his people—he thrives on love, attention, and snuggles. Shade has a few favorite things in life: a good car ride, a cool spot in the AC, and spending time with his humans. Shade is easily one of our most improved dogs we’ve seen! He is such a sweet boy who loves kids of all ages, he’s currently in a foster home with lots of littles and a baby and he is amazing with them! No food aggression and will take treats from his kids and will let the baby mess around in his water and food with no issues!
He lives with other dogs and a cat, though he can be selective on animals he likes, but once warmed up and introduced correctly he can be playful and will even share his toys. Shade is fully house trained, kennel trained, knows all basic commands and can show off a few extra tricks (sit, down, heel, place, stay, come, no bark, wait, and release) he will kennel up when told, or told to go to bed.
Shades current quirks that need consistent structure is he can be reactive when on walks or in the car. Not aggressive just becomes extremely fixated and barks and requires you to change his attention which he will do! Shade is also not a fan of nail trims, and has to have a vet sedate him, but this is something that could be worked on! He has been to weeks of professional training and has 3 free follow sessions for his adopter with Modified K9 in Spokane WA!
