Hello potential paw parents! My name is Faye, and I am an 8 year 6 month old female Shar Pei who is looking for her forever home and forever Hooman. I come from a breeder situation, and therefore, I am very timid with men. I do much better bonding with women. I get along fine with other dogs, but I will need a little time to warm up to them. I need a little time to warm up to people as well. The folks here have been working to socialize me and I am making progress. New places, new people; it all takes time I need a Hooman who will make the effort to socialize and train me. Once I am comfortable with you and get to know you, I will love your attention, believe me. If you are not familiar with Shar Pei, we are famous for our wrinkled skin, which served as our protection over 2200 years ago when we were trained to be guard dogs in China .Our temperament has been described as being affectionate, but reserved. I am a medium sized dog, which means 26 to 60lbs in size. My coat is red/golden/orange/and chestnut. So potential paw parents, why don't you fill out an application and come on in for a visit.
