Hello!
My name is Saddie and I am an 8 year old, very sweet, always happy, extra gentle, quite lovable, slightly plump, 80 lb. girl! I was turned in by my former owner because they had to have open heart surgery and couldn't take care of me anymore.
My foster Dad says the lucky family who adopts me is going to hit the jackpot and I don't blame him! After all, I am the sweetest, most loving, easy going dog you will ever meet. I love my people, get along with other dogs, listen well and am happy all the time. And, yes, my tail is wagging most of the time!
I am happy to be with my foster family and foster dog sister, too! We get along just fine. My foster Dad is pretty sure I was really well loved. Because of that, I was overfed and under exercised, which explains the extra weight I have. My foster family is taking me on two walks a day to help me slim down and I really love it! Since walks are a new thing for me, I need to learn how to walk in a straight line on a leash, but I am learning and correct easily. I am strong, so whoever walks me will need to be strong enough to control me.
I went to the Veterinarian the other day and she said I am healthy, but need to lose about 10 pounds. I am up to date on all my shots and I just had all my teeth cleaned too!
Since I am so gentle and easy going, I would be great with families who have little children, seniors or anyone else that really wants to love me... as long as you don't have cats.
I am happy to go on car rides and like going on adventures, like hiking or to the beach! I like lots of scratchies and belly rubs! (And I love a little bit of ice cream for dessert!)
My foster family thinks you are going to love me and your friends will be jealous because you will have the most perfect dog ever!
