My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maggie WV.
Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.

Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.

All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.

Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.

All our dogs are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.

We are currently accepting applications for Maggie V. Maggie was pulled from Nicholas County Animal Shelter in Summersville WV. Maggie is a Tricolor Beagle. She weighs approximately 30#. She is estimated to be 3 years of age. Maggie is doing great at potty training.

Maggie does well with other dogs, children and adults. Maggie has not been cat-tested. She is mild-mannered, has a sweet personality, and loves attention, cuddles and pets.

Maggie is of the Beagle breed, a natural hunter, therefore, we are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard and a family with one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Maggie acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Maggie to acclimate to the changes in her life.

Meet and greets are scheduled upon approved, completed application. If interested in meeting Maggie WV, please complete the application found on our website: almosthomefoster.com
