Jordie and her brother, Guppy, were strays who had wandered onto an older lady's property. She had kept them for a bit trying to locate their owner but was unsuccessful. She assumes they were, most likely, dumped. She asked if we could help to find them homes since she would not be able to keep them. Both of the pups are approx 6 months old and are such sweet, friendly dogs. They are very playful with other dogs and love to romp in the yard with them. They are also able to come into the house and relax. Both pups walk quite well on a leash and appear to be crate trained. They do well in the house with potty training and manners, as they don't really try to get into anything. We never guarantee any of our rescue dogs to be totally and completely housebroken though and do expect that any adopter is willing to put in the effort to help their adopted pup become a valued member of their family and fit into their lifestyle and routine, as it may differ from ours. The pups both get along very well with other dogs and kids. We feel that, with proper introduction, they could also do well with cats as well. They want to be with you so they are not happy bejng left alone in an outside kennel and they will try to get out. They may dig or climb fencing so its important to leash walk or have secure fencing for them. They generally do not try to go anywhere when they have others to play with and dont go far but for their safety, ensuring that they are secure for oitside time is important. Both of the pups saw the vet on 6/14/23. Jordie was spayed on 6/14/23 and weighed 46.7 pounds. She had no issues noted on her exam. Guppy was scheduled to be neutered but his surgery had to be canceled that day. He will be neutered next week on 6/21/23. He did get all of his yearly vetting completed and was also found to have no issues . He weighed 44.6 pounds. They can be adopted together or separately since they do fine apart. Both will make wonderful family companions and will complete any family!
