Crate-Trained: Yes
Other Pets: Great with dogs and cats
Good with Kids: Yes, especially in patient, gentle homes

Why You’ll Love Henry:

  • A classic hound mix with the perfect blend of gentle affection and goofy playfulness

  • Bonds deeply once trust is built—then lets his silly side shine

  • Plays well with other dogs and thrives in a home with a canine companion

  • Easygoing in the house and great on leash

  • Not a chaser—gets along well with cats

  • A soulful, steady presence who just needs patience and love

About Henry’s Breed Mix:

Hound mixes are known for their curiosity, gentle nature, and strong sense of smell. They’re loyal and affectionate companions who often form deep bonds with their people. While they can be playful and energetic, they also enjoy relaxed downtime. A secure yard is a must—these pups love to follow their noses. Hound lovers know: their unique charm and soulful eyes are irresistible.

Henry’s Story & Personality:

Henry came into rescue after being severely neglected, and he’s made incredible progress. He was shy at first, but now that he’s learned people can be kind, he’s blossoming into a goofy, affectionate pup who loves to play. He’s still building confidence, especially around food, but has come a long way from those early, uncertain days.

His foster says:
"Henry is a very playful hound. He is a love mush but needs to be exercised. A little tense around food after being starved but has done so much better than when he first arrived."

Henry would thrive in a home with a dog buddy, a secure yard, and people who understand hound behavior. He’s not high-maintenance—just needs routine, affection, and space to sniff and play.

Henry’s Perfect Home:

  • A fenced yard (hound noses can lead them astray!)

  • A friendly resident dog to play and bond with

  • A calm, patient home that lets him warm up at his own pace

  • Someone familiar with or eager to learn about hound traits

  • A family who wants a loyal, gentle, and sometimes goofy companion

Ready to Make Henry Yours?

Henry is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and ready to become someone’s loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a loving companion with a soulful heart and playful spark, Henry is your guy.
