Kiwi
Chinese Crested - 5 years - Spayed Female

Kiwi is a special little soul who came to us (like most of the dogs who come our way) a little lost and unsure. She was very timid and we were told had been bullied, so we knew we needed to give her time to decompress and let her true nature show.

A few weeks into her new foster life we could start to see a new dog, lots of waggy tails and interacting with her foster dog siblings... she is figuring out how to be a dog! Even in the few weeks we've known her she's made some significant progress and we'd love to see her continue to grow. Her future home should understand that this shy girl will need time to adjust and to not force interactions on her. She's still getting used to being picked up and reached for, these can be scary things for little guys!

Kiwi is very unsure of children, she will opt to leave the room if they come near her. She has done well with big and little dogs, cats too! She gets a little grumpy when they invade her space when she is eating or resting but otherwise she likes the company.

Kiwi is up to date on vaccines and spayed. She has recently had a dental procedure done where she had to have quite a few teeth extracted. She can still manage to eat solid food but prefers canned food!
