My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Flash is a 1 yr old Pitbull/Boxer mix.  He is fearful and concerned over new people so patience is necessary with him. We suspect this may be a reaction to being abandoned. He was removed from a property after being left alone for several days.

He is playful and loves snacks.  He will walk ok on leash but does pull some.  Flash is young and will need some basic obedience but he does already know some commands.

As part of the adoption process we require all dogs to meet your current dogs before adoption is approved.

Anyone interested should stop in to meet him and complete an application if interested.

More about this shelter

We are a county funded shelter. Our operating budget is very limited. We are open to take in strays and owner turn-ins. We only have 29 kennels and our focus is to promote and adopt out the dogs we take in. We try to learn basic information on the dogs, if they know basic commands, are spayed or neutered, good with other dogs, etc. We do have helpful volunteers that will take a dog home to see how they are in a home situation. As with most shelters we do not know everything about each dog. Our fees to adopt are low. We CANNOT guarantee the health of any animal.
