"Cheddar" is a lively little guy... He got his name when our volunteers determined his favorite treat was cheddar cheese! He is every bit a mini-rottie... He is very protective of his family, and strangers have to prove they are okay before he will accept them - cheddar cheese works almost every time!
Cheddar will accept other dogs in time. Since he has been in foster care, he a made friends with large dogs of all different breeds, both male and female. He would be perfect with an older couple living in a home and being introduced slowly to other dogs and people. He doesn't really react to cats, but we still don't recommend them.
Cheddar has completed heartworm treatment and will be neutered in the near future.
When Cheddar loves someone, it's forever and he would make a good companion to an experienced adopter.
