My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sidka is in the care of Few Steps From Home Animal Rescue Inc, dogrescue0146@gmail.com

Sidka is a very nice guy. He is always ready for action yet he can mellow out very well. Having other dogs in the home helps a lot with keeping him sane. The foster's yard has a bird feeder and so, squirrels. He finally discovered the squirrel at the bird feeder. It got away but he was focused on it and so hoping it would come back.

To live well with a Siberian husky means you provide activity. They get the reputation of escape artist when their people (for whatever reason) don't give them the activities they so crave. His foster home has a 4 foot high fence. Sidka has plenty of energy to clear such a fence if he gets bored.

He gets near daily walks along dirt roads or trails on a 30 foot rope. He is allowed to wander pretty much as he will. This kind of walk let's him more nearly satisfy his his needs and gives him things to dream about. It does a dog good to stuff his/her head down woodchuck holes.

Sidka is pretty decent to walk, not pulling hard, most of the time. He is really good at coming back around posts or tree's. This saves a person having to unwrap the lead.

He intends to be friendly when meeting other dogs. Sometimes, he gets too enthusiastic and rushes them. If they respond poorly to this, he backs off , letting them know he wants only fun.

If you want a dog that doesn't need your constant attention, Sidka is the one. He likes people, even little kids. He meets them but if they aren't doing anything that interest him, he walks away.

Living with other dogs is good for Sidka. Even when they don't play much with him. If other dogs he lives with go somewhere in the yard, he tends to go with them. He wants to know what is happening around his world.

If you are an active person, Sidka may be the siby for you. Evan better if you already have a dog.
