My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rey is a brindle lab mix. She is sweet and loving, but would prefer to be adopted into a more quiet environment. Rey's estimated DOB is 11/10/2022. As soon as this sweetheart warms up to you, she is loyal until the end! She loves to play with toys. Rey would prefer to be the only dog. Come to the shelter today and win this sweet girl's heart before someone else does!

Rey was generously sponsored by Peri and Steve Leake during our Reigning Cats and Dogs event. Thank you, Peri and Steve Leake, for sponsoring Rey!

HSPC's adoption fee is currently reduced from $100 to $75 unless stated otherwise within the pet's description. Every pet that is available for adoption has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, wormed and is up-to-date on vaccinations including heartworm preventative (canines). Adopters are required to schedule a wellness exam with their veterinarian at their cost within 7 days of adoption. We are currently closed to the public and we will only respond to inquiries accompanying an application submitted through warmhearts.org/adopt.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.

The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.

The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
