My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted 3-29-24!

Russell is a 5-year-old beagle boy. A little chubby at @40 lbs. He will lose weight with exercise, less kibble and all the green beans (in any form) that he wants.  He will never be a slim guy; has a very handsome, robust physique.  Very mellow here, mingling well with the people and dogs. House trained. Good with kids.  He likes playing with another beagle boy here. Sleeps inside amicably with longer-term pooches of all sizes.

***He does have a medical issue - epilepsy. It is controlled with Phenobarbitol every 12 hours. Blood panels and medical records of his past treatments provided. Our own vet has experienced success with CBD oil treatment.   He was not given up due to the epilepsy.***

Family/people issues caused him to seek a new home.  We have rescued a number of beagles with epilepsy and rehomed with success.  One heart-tugging rehome was to a family whose young son had seizures.  His big sister felt her brother would like a dog who also had seizures.  As a Navy MD who adopted from us said:  "Dogs can do things that doctors cannot"  Check out his video; email application to get appt Wednesday thru Sunday between 10 am and 2 pm
