Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Teddy!
Hello there, my name is Teddy! I'm on the search for my new best friend. The one that's going to tell me all of the secrets and know I won't go behind their back and tell all of my other friends! I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but just give me a couple of days, and our friendship will be well on its way. I'm an older gentleman actually a golden oldie, so I've become very good at keeping secrets. I might be old, but I still have the pep of a pup sometimes! I recently got some of my teeth pulled, so now I have a smile that lights up a room! I get along with other dogs, and I live with cats who need to be reminded not to eat my food from time to time, so I just give them a little bark to tell them to mind their manners! I've met some kiddos since being in my foster home, and I like sitting with the older ones who don't run all over the place and aren't quite so loud. I do my pottying outside, and if I need to go between walks, I will always let you know!
Speaking of walks....I need them! I came to my foster mom's house weighing 36 pounds! Oof, can you imagine carrying that weight on these little legs? Now I'm down to 29 pounds, but I should be closer to 22 pounds. I'm about halfway there! I do really good walking on a leash, too, so no worries about that! I'm not a huge fan of car rides. In fact, I'm kind of scared of them. I'd love a soft bed to lay on in my new home and a human or two to show me that I deserve the love they have in my retirement years. They are supposed to be the "golden" years after all, aren't they? I sure hope my new humans find me soon! We have a lot of catching up to do!
