Jacob is a handsome DSH brown tabby male born approximately 3/13/2021.
Jacob was originally rescued by NBCR along with his mother and his 6 other siblings. He and his brother, James, were then adopted into a loving home. Sadly, through no fault of their own, they were recently returned to us in April. They have since been in a foster home receiving much needed TLC and some time to adjust to the change in their lives. They are growing more comfortable with every passing day and we are now ready to start looking for a new, truly forever home for these sweet boys.
According to their foster, they still seem quite bonded. James will carry on if he doesn't know where Jacob is after a time, but they do their own thing, too. They are getting more and more comfortable all the time and are just big loves!
They both like people and attention, but they do still get scared easily. Jacob is a bit braver, so still wants to be involved and hang around. He will just sit at a distance and watch it all. If he has a calm person and place to go to when scared, he is good!
They would probably do okay with kids who are calm and give them time to adjust.
Jacob is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.

Adopters must be 21 years or older and willing to invest the time and money required to care for a pet. In addition to providing love and attention, regular medical care is required. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs.
Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.
If you feel that you are ready to adopt, please e-mail adoptions@nbcrtx.org for prompt attention. A NBCR adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an interview.
