My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Story of Jackpot
Once upon a time, well - last summer - we were spent a week or more behind a local pest control business trapping 3 little kittens that were dumped in a dumpster. (Jesse and Woody, shockingly are still available.)

A young, orange tabby was closely watching from the nearby woods. He was very hungry. As he came out of the wood line, I scared him away several times so he would not go into the trap, but it did not deter him - he continued to try to enter the trap. Out loud I said, "Okay, buddy. You need a home, too, I'm sorry. Go ahead in the trap. I will get you a home and keep you safe. Anything has to be better than livin' out here in the heat with no food. Go ahead."

After hearing my words, he came out of the woods for the the last time, stopped, looked directly into my eyes, and walked straight into the trap. The trap closed and he sat down calmly. I got the sense that he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He had watched as the other cats walked into the trap and went into the car. I remember saying, "well... you hit the jackpot today, buddy." Hence his name, Jackpot.

So...meet Jackpot. Jackpot is a sweet baby, about a year old. He is a smaller, young cat. He loves to be pet and will rub up against you when you enter a room, but he is not yet a fan of being picked up yet. He had to be someone's once. The pest control place is right next to a large truck repair place - did he get into a truck and travelled far away from home?

Jackpot loves to pair up with another cat, Patchie - also up for adoption - and walk side by side - like they are attached by velcro. He will rub up against him with his head and the two go everywhere together.

Jackpot is neutered, had 2 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
His perfect home would be a quiet, low activity home, with another cat friend, he loves to pair up with another male cat, or ideally to be adopted with Patchie. (Patchie's bio will be posted soon.)

Please give this sweet boy another chance at the lottery jackpot - his forever home - with a family who loves and cherishes him. You won't regret it. Ready to be a winner and get this sweet Jackpot? GoodMews22@aol.com

More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
