Sweet Pound Cake was picked up as a stray by animal control and sent to the shelter. No place for a senior who clearly has a few extra pounds on him! Thankfully the shelter staff reached out ASAP and asked us to take him into rescue for a little TLC. Despite being an older gent in need of a weight loss plan, Pound Cake is in pretty good shape. He does not have vision, but navigates spaces easily. He’s housebroken, gentle and loving, quiet, and already working on his fitness! If you love Senior pugs, Pound Cake still has a lot of love and years left to devote to you. He gets along with other dogs (but doesn’t like them trying to get into his bowl while eating). Mostly he wants a soft place to nap and to follow you around. He’ll even go for short walks.
