My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet SILVER or as her foster parents call her "Silverado"! Silver is a brown and gray female tabby with orange highlights. She is curious about the world and loves to look out the window or sit up on a high perch and watch her humans or cat roommates go about their day. She loves watching TV and will run around the house for 30 minutes chasing shiny things or a laser! She knows when it's her breakfast and dinner times, but is polite about waiting her turn to eat. She loves her treats and wet food! Silver would do well in a quiet home with non-dominant kitties or even dogs--she loves her current foster dog brothers.  This sweet girl would love a forever home with large windows and adopters who will shower her with attention and head scratches!

Note: Silver has a condition that causes allergic responses. She is on a current prescription food and medication treatment that has been successful. With current treatment, Silver has not had any flare up’s and is stable. Her foster parents can provide more information about that current treatment and costs.

Silver has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Silver in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The adoption fee is $70 which allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
