Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lionel originally came from a farm with Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD) parents. I took him in to give him some early obedience training before finding him a farm home of his own. Due to a death in my family, I have only been able to give him very basic commands such as: sit, wait (for food), come. He is incredibly smart and learns very quickly, but he will need to have firm training right away once he gets to his new home.
He has had a number of visits to a farm with goats and poultry, and has done VERY well there. He has the right temperament to become a great LGD with the proper training. He would do best on a farm that already has an older, trained LDG that he can learn from. He is also a very sweet boy who will bond well with his family, and protect them in addition to the livestock.
