My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Morgan! She is a 1.5 year old Bully breed mix. She is an INCREDIBLY energetic and fun-loving pup. She absolutely LOVES to learn and work and will make a perfect sporting dog or adventure pal. She especially gets along best with male dogs. Morgan requires a home that will offer her a yard. She was surrendered because the family who got her as a puppy was not prepared for a dog that needed a yard. We sent her to CRT K9 to undergo training and she is ready for adoption! They've tested her for search/rescue work, as well as climbing work, jump work, and running. She passes every qualification test with flying colors! She thrives in everything. We've never seen a pup so capable of so much. We are open to adopting her to a home who will give her exercise and a yard. She'll do best in a home without small animals (she has prey drive ), or other female dogs.April 25, 2024, 5:29 pm

Additional adoption info

If we are adopting out a dog who has been trained the adopter must agree to one training session the day they adopt the dog (coming home). If we decide additional training sessions will be needed we will advise the adopter prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a veteran-run dog rescue based in San Diego, California. Our goal is to change the rescue world. We adopt our dogs to any loving and qualified homes, but we also provide ESAs for military veterans. With The Heroic Tail’s model, we are not only able to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we are also able to help the dogs deemed “unadoptable” and give them a better chance at a happy and healthy life!
