My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.

* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.

Kahlua is a 2 year old young man that one of our volunteers rescued from a precarious life. He was living with his littermates on the street in a high danger zone. She couldn't leave them there, so she took all of them in to give them a chance at life. Kahlua is a very sweet boy. He loves to be pet and rubs up against your legs to show his thankfulness to you. He especially loves mealtime, where he is the most vocal. He can't wait to see what's for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

He could easily join a home with another cat or cat savvy dog. He is particularly fond of one of his siblings. So if you are interested in adopting a pair, please look at Amaretto's bio as well. They do not need to be adopted together, but if interested in two kitties, they would be a great duo. Kahlua is very playful and would love a cat tree in his new home and lots of toys. We are also looking for a home that will give him a few weeks to settle in as he may present a bit shy at first. And for that reason, we would be open to a foster-to-adopt program with him. If you think he might be the one for you but want to do a trial period to make sure, we can arrange that. Regardless, he is a great guy and deserves the best life ever. Can you make his dreams come true?

He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.
