My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cornelia & Harriet are a Courtesy Listing and are not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for these pets. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.
Cornelia and Harriet are quite close, and love to spend lots of time together. They enjoy grooming one another, having space to run and jump, and eating lots of hay and greens. They take a few minutes to warm up, but they are comfortable being held and pet once they feel safe. Especially if you have a carrot for them to munch on! They used to live with a dog in their previous home, but they're my only pets, so I'm not positive how well they get along with other animals.

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
