My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maisey, she is a 42# 6 year old female Blue Merle Aussie / Border Collie mix. She is up to date on all of her vaccinations. She is a typical velcro dog who is happiest being wherever you are. She is high energy, but does have an off switch and will sit quietly while you work. She has had free run of the house, and will tolerate, but does not like being crated. She loves car rides. She is 100% housebroken and has never destroyed anything by chewing, except a few (very squeaky) soft toys. Smart as a whip and knows all of the basic commands. She struggles a bit to sit as she had a major surgery a few years ago on one of her back legs. She has very good recall off leash. She loves and is well behaved in dog parks and does well on a leash. She is a sniffer, but not reactive to other dogs on walks if a reasonable distance is kept. She has a definite "stranger danger" mindset- but only when someone new is coming too near or into her house or too close to her car. Maisey needs to be in a one dog, adult only household. Her herding instinct is strong and within the past 18 months she has turned to herding, bullying and brawling with the older Aussie in the home. A smart, sassy little girl, who wants to be the (only) center of someones attention.
