MEET COCONUT!!

Coconut (Coco) was found in 2020 in a dumpster behind a Home Depot. She was rescued and taken in at that time to a great family. She had gotten along well with the other dog in the home at for some time. A few years later, Coco attacked the other dog and has not been with other animals since. She should be the only pet in the home.

Coco is smart and well-trained in the home. She knows sit, stay, go to crate ("koocha"), lay down, paws down, move back, get the ball or baby and drop. She will trim her own front nails using a filing board when prompted with treats. She is house trained, crate trained and does well on a leash for walks when wearing a muzzle.

Coco is a lovable ball of energy. She loves to play all day if she could. She loves to play fetch and tug of war. She has trouble in social situations and is very fearful and sometimes aggressive. She needs space and about 15 minutes when meeting new people and is especially fearful of men. She does well with children ages 12 and up, but she does not like small children. Coco is a very energetic girl. She will nosedive into you, roll on her back and paw at you for belly rubs. The girl knows what she wants. Meet Coco!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
