My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Balto is a cute 1-1/2 year old male Pointer/American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on July 17, 2023 by a Good Samaritan who found him at Buckeye Park in Marietta Ohio. Balto was not wearing collar, and he was not microchipped.

This adorable young man has a snow white short smooth coat, long legs, a long tail, and an adorable mischievous-looking face with a dark brown eyes, a large black patch on the right-hand side of his face (in the style of the 'Phantom-of-the-Opera' mask), a black button nose, and large floppy ears.

Balto is a happy, overgrown puppy who is full of playful energy. He was enthusiastically doing zoomies and running laps around HSOV Humane Officer Fredley Tynan and thoroughly enjoyed his 15-minutes of fame during his photo session on July 18th. After watching his speedy moves and fancy footwork, our photographer joked that Balto may be a wanna-be Greyhound.

Balto weighs 52 lbs. He has already been neutered.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Balto will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
