My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you have a young dog who would love to have a playmate? If so, you may want to consider Hazel Bean! She LOVES to play with other dogs and run and romp in the back yard and go for walks. Hazel likes to play with toys, walks well on the leash, and rides great in the car. She is also crate trained. She’s the sweetest and happiest girl that may be shy at first, but once she knows you, she loves you and will want to be right with you.

Hazel Bean is a miniature Poodle mix who was rescued from a local shelter. She was very thin and horribly matted when she was rescued. Her last picture shows how long her hair was, but it doesn't show the mats down to her skin. REGULAR GROOMING IS A MUST for this sweet pup! She now weighs about 15 pounds which is a good weight for her. We don't think she will get any taller or bigger. She is about 18 months old. Is Hazel Bean the right dog for you? She’s waiting to find her perfect home and give you all her love.

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.

All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
