My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lenny – A Gentle Soul in Need of a Patient Home

Lenny is a beautiful classic tabby and white boy with the softest fur and the gentlest heart. He has always been a shy kitty, even as a kitten, but in the right home, he blossoms in his own quiet way. After years of gentle encouragement, Lenny learned to take treats from his foster mom’s hand and even responded to his name with an adorable head tilt as if he were listening to every word. There was even an older male cat there who was like a big brother to Lenny.

He loved watching the world go by from his favorite window perch, soaking up the sunlight and daydreaming about birds and breezes. Though shy, Lenny enjoyed head scratches, leaning in to make sure you found just the right spot. Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, Lenny had to be returned to our rescue when his devoted foster had to evacuate from the fires and relocate. Now in a new environment with unfamiliar people and other cats, we worry that he may lose the confidence he worked so hard to build.

Lenny needs a quiet, calm, and predictable home with a patient and understanding person who will allow him the time he needs to feel safe and secure again. With love and patience, and some crate-training, Lenny will be a wonderful companion—one who may never demand attention but will always appreciate the kindness of a gentle touch and a reassuring voice. If you have the heart to give a shy cat like Lenny a forever home, he will be forever grateful.

Can you be Lenny’s special person? 💙

Additional adoption info

We do have an application form on our website. A home check is also done. We know our animals well and work hard to make sure the adoption will be a purr-fect match! We will be happy to answer your questions. We want an adoption to be the right fit for both the humans and the animal.

When you adopt a pet from us, you can rest assured that you are getting a pet who is much loved, well-cared for, and whom we know well. In turn, we know that an adopter will provide a loving, caring, home.

Cat adoptions are usually $125 each. Dog fees are based on breed. All are current on vaccinations and neutering. Some are microchipped. They are vetted again before delivery.

All of our adoptable cats and dogs are pictured on our website, with their videos, at www.lifelineforpets.org.
