Sophie is a very sweet 10 year old girl that just wants someone to love.
Although she was born outside she has always wanted to be someone’s special kitty and to be indoors but just never found anybody to make that commitment to her. She knows her name and comes when called and she welcomes cuddles and petting although she doesn’t like to be picked up. Her caregiver recently moved and left her behind to fend for herself but thankfully his family stepped in and finally brought Sophie home where she is now an indoor only kitty and she LOVES IT!.
Sophie quickly adapted to being indoors and all the comforts and safety that provides, especially a regular meal schedule. Her foster says that is probably her favorite time of the day. Besides being a love, she is also a great conversationalist. She will be there to greet you when you get home and tell you all about her day, she even answers with her sweet meow when you talk to her.
Although she’s not a lap cat this girl wants nothing more than to be loved, so much so that she’ll fall to the ground and lay on her side in front of you just in case you a minute for a pet or two.
Sophie is currently fostered with a family member and their two male cats. Unfortunately, one is a bully which has Sophie terrified. So much so that she spends a lot of time either in a room or running under a sofa to avoid conflict the alpha kitty in the home. Sophie has been with other cats in the past and in fact does great with other nice kitty in her foster but Sophie could also most certainly be a single kitty that gets to soak up all the attention. She has not been around dogs or children so that would need to be a slow integration process for her or she would do GREAT as an only kitty.
Sophie is in perfect health for a middle aged gal. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and recently got a good report from her vet regarding her lab work.
