Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sandy! This 26 lb terrier mix came to Helping Paws last year when her mom had surgery and was unable to care for her. The hope was that she could be returned to her mom when she had healed up, but that was not able to happen and now we are looking for a quiet home where she can be loved and cared for forever - which is what her foster mom promised her first mom when she got sick :(
Sandy is a "one person" type of dog. She takes a bit to warm up to you, but once she does, she will love you forever! She lives in a foster home with other dogs and cats, but does get possessive of people when it comes to the other animals and therefore we would love to find her a place with no other animals or maybe a dismissive cat that will allow her to have her mom or dad all to herself! Because of her shy and possessive nature, she would not do well with kids. She is mostly housetrained, but also will use potty pads if she doesn't make it outside in time.
Sandy's adoption fee is $200 and with that she comes vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and just had a dental cleaning where they removed a couple of bad teeth! Interested in meeting Sandy to see if you can make a love connection? Visit www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application
