My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sansa is a 3 month old female 75% Chihuahua, 25% French Bulldog. Unfortunately, she came from a breeding situation where the "breeder" was allowing two dogs who were Merle or who carried the Merle gene to mate. This causes an anomaly called "double dapple". Most double dapple puppies are born either blind, deaf or both. The "breeder" was having a tough time finding someone to purchase these puppies, so a friend of our stepped in to secure their safety.

We believe that Sansa's right eye is visual, but the left is not. We do not believe she is completely deaf, but she does not hear fully. There are malformations of the non-seeing eyes, but she is thankfully not in pain, and it does not affect her quality of life. She is a typical happy, playful pup!

Sansa is quite the little independent lady who loves to play! She absolutely loves being outside and playing or exploring! She's such a sweet, happy little girl and is expected to live a normal life with the right family!

Ideally, she'd go to an experienced home as this is not a puppy for first time owners. Sansa's new family will understand that in the future, there's a small possibility that she may need issues with her eyes addressed (there's no way for us to know for sure at this point). She'd go to a single family home instead of apartment/condo settings, as she is not a big fan of being left alone and will sing the song of her people for all to hear!

Sansa would thrive in a home with another social and playful dog, as she really loves to run/chase/play! She is still working on potty training and is a newbie to leash walking. Sansa would be fine in a home with kitty friends. We prefer she go to a family with older kids age 8+ due to her special needs. Sansa will likely be under 30lb as an adult.
