My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, My name is Bruno! I am a 68lb. pitty boy, born 6/28/2018. My previous owners didn't want me anymore, so they tied me to the fence near the rescue! These nice people took me in and have shown me love and made sure I was ok. I love everyone here at the rescue, but I am ready to find my forever home. I don't don't much like most other dogs through the kennel fences here, but I may do better in a different setting. I do alert to kitty cats and may do best as an only pet. I have such a large and loving personality, I am the only one you need; I promise. I am an excellent walking companion and will have you laughing and smiling when you spend time with me. I have a huge grin I like to show off myself.  I have been known to be a stealth kisser - I am really affectionate.  I love to play ball and have epic zoomies when I get excited.  I know basic commands like sit, stay, lay, and paw. I am a volunteer favorite. Please ask, they will be happy to gush about all of my fine qualities as an exceptional gentleman. Staff believes I am house trained.  I have been neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested, and everything I need to find my perfect home. If interested in making me a part of your family. Please go to richardsonrescue.org to fill out an application for adoption.

More about this rescue

Nestled in twelve acres of country and woods is a place for animals that are hardest to help, BIGGER dogs, abused pets and puppy mill dogs. They need more time, more space and more love than many full rescues can provide. Their adoptions sometimes take months, but they get the room and attention that they need to get back on all four feet. The problem.... not many people are willing to give them a chance. We also offer low cost spay and neutering when funding allows.
