My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amy’s a 4yo 7lb Chihuahua. She’s dog, cat and kid friendly. She’s house trained when kept on a schedule and pee pad trained. She’s good in a secure fenced yard and needs work on a leash. She’s sweet, loveable, extremely cuddly, affectionate and wants her person all the time. Her foster feels she would do best in a home with another pet but not mandatory as long as someone is going to be home with her.

Amy MUST have a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, people who she can cuddle with, be able to sleep in bed with her person, along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on potty training. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Amy came to Tiny Paws from a hoarding situation that PSPCA stepped in to help her and her 72 chi siblings. She has a heart murmur and will need to be on meds which she takes twice a day. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Hatboro, PA. If your home fits the bio and MUST haves and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

How can I Adopt a Tiny Dog?
When you are ready to adopt a new friend, we will ask you to complete our friendly screening process, which ensures a successful and safe adoption.

Complete an Adoption Application
We will have a brief conversation with you to find out about your daily schedule, determine your preferences and needs, and talk about your previous experience with pets.
We will check two personal references who know how you are with animals.
If applicable, we will call your veterinarian to ensure that previous pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and well cared for.
For renters, we will check with your landlord to ensure that dogs are permitted.
Lastly, we will do a home check. We will arrange a visit with the dog and your family including all animals in your home, typically at your home. This is a great opportunity for you to get valuable input on how to integrate your new pet into your home. If we agree it is a mutually good fit, you will sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption fee and take the new dog into your home.

This process typically takes a few days and then you are ready to take your new friend home.
