My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

POPPY is a beautiful, almost 2yr young, highly intelligent, fully vetted, house trained, crate trained, Weimaraner mix that is energetic, full of kisses, self entertaining w/her toys while you are out in the yard, and extremely playful – so she would do best with a furry playmate of similar size and age, and with adults & teenagers. Inside she can be calm while you work or watch TV or sit and read. POPPY LOVES her toys and has multiple ones she plays with daily, enjoys chewing on her benebone, and will explode with a few zoomies before her bedtime. Chasing and playing with a furry companion, OR having a running partner, OR someone who loves throwing tennis balls…. Can be crucial to keeping this girl “worn out” daily. We all know “A TIRED dog is a GOOD DOG” !!! POPPY is currently 63lbs, house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and will thrive best with a routine. This girl is becoming more courageous every day (still fearful of a water hose), has a high prey drive, and a super sensitive spirit; she learns quickly and is always eager to be with you. “I Will Follow You” is her theme song, lol. Human companionship brings her much comfort; routine is very important for POPPY so she understands that you will always return to her. (She was found abandoned for 2 weeks initially.) We always recommend a fenced yard for our adoptable friends.
