Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m Sancho and I’m looking for a forever home. I’m all about cuddles and head rubs. I like to play and I all I want to do is snuggle. I have a beautiful coat that I love to get brushed. I’m a sweet cat who has been waiting too long. I am FIV+ but that only means I have to be the only cat, with other FIV+ cats, or in a peaceful environment where the cats get along.
Please call the office 815-455-9411

More about this rescue
Founded in 1985, Assisi Animal Foundation is a 501 C-3 not-for-profit corporation and McHenry County, Illinois' first and longest running no-kill animal shelter.
We are dedicated to providing shelter, care and re-homing of animals to caring, permanent homes. We abide by a no-kill policy, which allows for euthanasia only in cases of terminal illness which cause suffering, severe not repairable injuries, or in cases of such severe aggression that it is a threat to other shelter residents and caregivers.
We are also dedicated to educating the public on animal welfare, preservation and protection, providing a pet therapy program to nursing centers and providing a continuing care program for dogs and cats.
Unfortunately, our space and resources are not infinite. We operate on an appointment basis, to be sure that someone knowledgeable about the animals is on hand to serve adopters or visitors.
