Cash is a loving and active 9 year old charcoal lab. He is a true retriever at heart and will gladly chase any ball thrown until you are the one who is tired. He loves being close to you, will gladly join you in your bed, and wants nothing more than scritches and kisses. He gets along great with other dogs, even younger more active Labradors, and has no problem verbally keeping them in line. He has a ton of energy for a nine year old, but is also happy just relaxing with his people. He is a sneak thief when it comes to food (or anything he thinks is food) left on the counter, but not in a destructive way, he just loves food. Very treat motivated, and as long as it's not a hard thunderstorm, very comfortable in his kennel. His true place is by your side though, and wants nothing more than a loving person to be his.
While Cash is showing early symptoms of laryngeal paralysis, which can cause panting and occasional hacking, especially after exercise. He may not be a fan of thunderstorms, particularly when crated, but he thrives when surrounded by his caring humans, and with the help of prescribed medication, both of these items can be managed in stressful or exciting situations.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
