Checkers was rescued from a colony. He is affectionate but still sensitive in new situations and with new people so he will need some time to adjust to a new home. He is attached to his friend Toby so we'd like the adopted together.

Additional adoption info

Application required, can be obtained from website. Adoption fees for dogs is $250, cats $175. For dogs it includes spay/neuter, shots and testing for Lyme and Heartworm, for cats it includes spay/neuter, shots and testing for FIV and Feline Leukemia. Veterinarian references will be checked before making a decision. Adoptions are not first come first serve, they are approved based on the determination of the best possible home for the animal.
