My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED***

Est dob: 5/2/23,  neutered, chipped, UTD on vaccination, expected to be a large adult

Caviar is sweet, curious, friendly, and energetic. He is crated overnight and has access to the open door crate during the day. He is comfortable with his German Shepherd foster sibling and they have been actively engaging in play and zooming around the yard. He does bark occasionally, either when someone comes to the door or also at his shadow in the windows.

He loves to cuddle on the couch and human beds. He responds to his name, sit, come, down. He loves pats, treats, chasing squirrels, being outdoors. He is still a puppy so he’s learning what’s ok to chew and what isn’t. He is gentle when taking treats and very generous with his kisses.

Caviar is in a foster home with other dogs that he does well with. We are looking for a home where there are no children under 5 due to size and energy level. He previously lived in a foster home with older children and did well with them.

Please consider making this handsome boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at : and https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1

$200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates.

If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Pet Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Katy (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fee ($200 inc. tax) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm test for dogs over 8 months of age.
