My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Est dob: 3/1/2020, dogo Argentino mix, female, spayed, chipped, UTD on vaccinations, currently 85 pounds

Are you tired of the single life? Do you miss the pitter patter of little feet following your every move? Do you long to have someone's face pressed against the door while you shower? Do you hate having privacy when you go to the bathroom? Well look no further! Maliah is a 4 year old Dogo Argentino mix looking for her forever family. Her hobbies include toting around her stuffies, taking naps on the couch, stealing toilet paper from guest bathrooms and frolicking around the back yard with her foster siblings. She is as goofy as she is adorable.

She's a big girl who cares little about personal space. She loves people and wants to make sure that they know it. She will get into your business any chance she can and if you're in the kitchen, you can bet she'll be right there investigating. Watching a movie on the couch? You won't be alone, because she will be in your lap watching too.

Maliah has had no accidents since being in her foster home, she walks nicely on a leash, rides well in cars without getting carsick and she's been great with other dogs. She's had no interactions with cats but one did hiss at her as she walked by at a local pet store and she did not react. Maliah is heart worm positive and we have already started treatment. She has a wonderful personality, a sweet disposition and has been great around school aged children she has met.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Pet Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Katy (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fee ($200 inc. tax) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm test for dogs over 8 months of age.
