My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Move over, Clover…you’re taking up half the chair! ;-) Clover is a 7-year old, 15-pound large-boned fella who would best be described as a furry gentle giant. And the sweetest cat in town!

Clover is terrific around humans and other cats. He enjoys being pet, brushed, and played with. He loves any sort of small toy, and can even make a game out of something as simple as a fallen ice cube. He’ll swat it, slide it around on the floor, and curiosity watch it as it melts. Clover is pretty darn hilarious!

A good eater, Clover currently gets fed twice daily and grazes throughout the day. He gets very excited when he hears the treat bag come out, and will gladly accept a tasty morsel any time of the day or night. Clover uses his litter pan to relieve himself and keeps his bathroom area clean and tidy. To keep his nails filed down, Clover uses a cardboard scratcher toy or a scratching post, thus avoiding the need to scratch at anything else. Way to go, Clover!

Clover is a very good boy who yearns for attention and likes to explore. He can be a tad skittish at times, but with each passing day, Clover is coming out of his shell and becoming more and more relaxed. He has playful bursts of energy, mixed in with nice long naps on the window sill and quiet time on the couch. Clover will take what you give him, while asking for very little. An easy dude to care for, and an even easier dude to fall in love with!

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
