My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Oh boy oh boy! This handsome boy is Ripley and we are so proud of how far he has come! Ripley is still a tad bit timid but warms up to patient dog lovers. He is playful with the other dogs that will play with him. He likes attention, loves toys and would so love his very first home! Ripley is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Don't wait to apply this sweet loyal boy won't last long!

Additional adoption info

We are looking for great homes for our dogs. Maybe your home? This is our basic adoption process. We require an adoption application to be filled out that describes your home situation and why you want to adopt. The application includes a number of questions that help us to get to know you, and to determine your situation, and whether the dog would fit into that situation. You must specify several references that will be checked before adoption. In addition, you will need to talk with a PAWS volunteer by phone or in person about the possible adoption. The adoption donation is currently $100.

Our animals either reside in our shelter in Chinook, or they reside in foster homes. People can visit the animals by appointment.

More about this shelter

PAWS of Chinook fills a need in the community by spreading the spay/neuter word, and encouraging responsible pet ownership. We take in strays and owner surrenders, and work to find new homes for them. We do it because we care about companion animals, and want them to have the best life possible in a responsible, loving home.

We appreciate donations, and with more funds, we can save more animals. We'd also love more volunteers and foster homes. Toys, walking dogs, whatever you can do to help would be appreciated!
