Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jewel
Female
DLH/Gray
21 years old
5.3 lbs.
Hello! I’m Jewel! I am the sweetest, most cuddly, and affectionate lady looking for a cozy home where I can spend my golden years.
Now you may have noticed my age, but with age comes wisdom, and with my wisdom comes lots of experience with being an awesome cat companion. I am easy going, and one of the greatest joys in my life is getting to sleep next to you on your bed, or maybe even on your pillow. I am great at sharing that and keeping your head warm! I also know my pictures look a little silly right now since so much of my fur is shaved! I came into PawsCo with severe mats in my coat and the best thing for me was a full shave. But it’s already starting to grow back and I’ll look a little less silly once I have a gorgeous coat again. In the meantime, I’ll appreciate a family who loves me even with my goofy hair-do right now.
I am looking for a home that would be on the quieter side. I also love humans most and feel a bit weary around other animals so I need a forever home where I’m the only cat. When I am first in a new home, I might need a little time to warm up to my new and fantastic life. But after a few days, I settle in just beautifully and I’ll make myself right at home.
For a gal my age, my health is in really good shape! I’ve had all my basic vetting done (including a senior blood panel!) and I have no major health concerns at this time. I did come to PawsCo with a pretty severe ear infection and I may be prone to ear infections going forward. So I’m looking for an adopter who can monitor me for any ear infection symptoms (scratching my ears a lot/etc.) so I can get antibiotics if needed. I also am eating a dry cat food that helps promote kidney health to help ensure my kidneys stay healthy. I also need an adopter who understands that a senior gal like me may have health issues pop up at any time and I need an adopter who is comfortable supporting me through any medical needs.
Since you have read this far, I know that you must be looking for a loyal friend and cuddle buddy in your life, so please contact my friends at PawsCo, adoptions@pawscoadoptions.org, to learn about adopting me or fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. I look forward to meeting you!
