Peanut and his gorgeous dreamy eyes will wow you everytime! Peanut loves to go out on his long walks, and when he returns will play in the play yard with his favorite rope toy or fetch a tennis ball for you. When he wants you to pet him he will gently raise his paw for you, or back up into you for a quick rub on the back. He loves his special time with the volunteers, and just imagine how he would feel having special time with his forever person/s. Peanut is a big boy and probably too much for children, but if you love to walk, play fetch and want a buddy to do it with, Peanut would love for you to come and meet him.

Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!

Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
