My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Godric — snack enthusiast, orange cat, and certified goofball.
I’m almost 3 years old, and if you drop a crumb, I’ll find it. I take snacks very seriously — think of me as your personal feline vacuum. Treats? Yes, please. Dinner? Never early enough. I’m sweet, I’m sassy, and I’ve got that classic orange cat energy: part cuddlebug, part chaos goblin.

I had a spinal injury as a kitten, so I’m incontinent — I don’t have full control over my bathroom habits. But don’t let that scare you! I really do try to make it to the litter box, and I’ve done great in foster homes with a consistent routine and a little help. I may need a bit of extra care, but I more than make up for it in charm, personality, and snack-powered devotion.

I also do well with other cats — I love having feline buddies to hang with! Just a heads-up: I play rough. Think wrestling matches, sneak attacks, and lots of pouncing. I’d do best with another confident, playful cat who can keep up with me and set boundaries when needed.

I’m looking for a special home that gets my quirks, respects my sass, and never forgets treat time. If you`re ready for a big-hearted orange boy with a side of spice, I`m your guy.

Always hungry,
Godric

More about this shelter

The Animal Defense League was established in 1934 by a group of individuals, “for the prevention of cruelty to animals; to promote kind and humane treatment of animals; and to aid and assist the enforcement of laws enacted for the prevention of animal cruelty.”

In 1961, ADL moved to its present location in the easily accessible northeast part of San Antonio. Its campus encompasses more than 12 acres and includes a two-acre pet park. On the property is an Adoption Center with a small retail store, and a separate 5,000 square-foot Clinic which houses our veterinary hospital that provides onsite spay/neuter surgery, surgery for injured and ill animals, and ongoing medical care for all ADL resident animals.
